We spent just one day and night in New York on our way to the Middle East. Although a whirlwind visit, this last minute change in our itinerary enabled us to break up the journey to Dubai and stay with friends Carl, Elizabeth and little Edmund.
We landed early morning to a particularly gloomy and very wet day, and so, having both been here before, we skipped the tourist highlights and spent the day exploring Manhattan on foot and making the most of the fabulous shopping!
